You Go Patti Smith
What an inspiration to me. CBS did a piece this morning on Patti, also known as the "Godmother of Punk" and where she's been, where she is now, and where she is going. Patti's song "Because the Night" was co-written with Springsteen and reached 13 on the Billboard charts in 1978. I was immediately struck by the appearance of this almost 65-year-old woman. She LOOKS like a 65 years old woman. And she's happy with that. She didn't drink the Kool-Aid most of the rest of us have at one time or another and she has stayed true to herself. To that, I tip my hat and say......you go Patti Smith.
